Ciara completed her two-year full-time Dental Nursing Diploma at University College Cork in 2024. Following her studies, she gained valuable experience working for two years in Cork University Dental Hospital, where she was exposed to a wide range of dental specialties including restorative dentistry, oral surgery, orthodontics, oral medicine, paediatrics, and dental hygiene.
During her time in UCC, Ciara also served as class representative for two years, acting as an advocate for curriculum development, learning resources, assessment and feedback, and student progression and support. She further enhanced her qualifications by completing her Dental Radiology course with distinction
Before her career in dentistry, Ciara completed a full-time one-year FETAC Level 5 course in Care of the Elderly and Nursing Studies, and has built up many years of experience working in healthcare. She is passionate about patient care and finds the most rewarding part of her role to be forming meaningful relationships with patients.
Ciara has been part of the Gort team for over a year, where she continues to bring her skills, warmth, and dedication to her work. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys hiking, swimming, and cooking
